College Graduates in Training
Every year, a select group of recent college graduates begin their careers with Michigan CAT as part of the College Graduate in Training Program. This fast paced, multi-year rotational program is designed for graduates who desire to move into a management or sales position at Michigan CAT.
During the rotational program, College Graduates in Training (CGITs) are involved in various assignments within our parts, sales, service, and administrative departments. Mentors are assigned to work directly with the CGITs and training events are offered annually focusing on topics such as managing work, improving business skills, and enhancing product knowledge. The program provides CGITs with a comprehensive understanding of Michigan CAT's operations, so that they can successfully transition into an entry-level management or sales position at the conclusion of their rotation.
Applications for the College Graduate in Training Program are accepted in the fall and spring of each year. We look for candidates with the following credentials:
- BA or BS Degree
- Major GPA 3.0 out of 4.0
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
Candidates should be self-motivated, eager to learn, and willing to accept new challenges. To be considered as a candidate, please see the current openings.
