Service Technicians
Service Technicians are vital to Michigan CAT's continuing success. Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining rental and customer-owned equipment in order to ensure optimal working condition. There is currently a high demand for Service Technicians with several types of opportunities available within the field of heavy equipment and diesel engine repair:
-In-house Shop Technicians may be generalists who perform a variety of repairs or specialists who work exclusively in areas such as hydraulics, engines or drive train.
-Power Systems Technicians ensure Class 6, 7, and 8 trucks operate properly and alternative power generators are ready when needed.
-Field Service Technicians travel to customers in our service trucks and perform repairs on site.
Michigan CAT Service Technicians are members of the Operating Engineers' Union Local 324. All Technicians receive extensive training annually in order to stay current with the latest technological advances. In addition to excellent training, Michigan CAT Service Technicians receive competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and always have opportunities for advancement.
Michigan CAT is currently accepting applications for Service Technicans. We look for candidates with a working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, diesel engines, transmissions and drive axles.
