Temporary Cooling: If you have short-term cooling needs for scheduled maintenance shutdowns, for supplemental cooling during hot weather, for special events or for emergencies - proper planning can save you time and money.

STEP 1
Planning Your Temperature Control Needs.
Your Cooling equipment rental supplier needs to know what kind of system will serve you best. Short term temperature control equipment comes in two basic varieties: Fluid cooling and Air conditioning.

Fluid Cooling
Fluid cooing applies to industrial processes that use a heat exchanger or process tank to maintain the temperature of a liquid.

Air Conditioning
Air conditioning involves maintaining temperature, moisture content, air movement and cleanliness of air in a defined space.

STEP 2
Planning Your Temperature Control Needs.
Before you rent temperature control equipment, you have to know how much capacity you need. Cooling load is measured in tons (English) or kilowatts (metric). Knowing what your current demands are will help us find the correct configuration for your needs.

Fluid Cooling
To help us calculate your cooling load please know the following:
-Liquid temperature entering the application
-Liquid temperature leaving the application
-Flow rate of liquid (gallons per minute)

Air Conditioning Application
To help us calculate your cooling load please know the following
-Size of the space to be cooled (sq./ft.)
-Space temperature and relative humidity desired
-Expected ambient temperature and expected relative humidity outside
-Number of people present
-Kind of activity being performed
-Type of structure and insulation
-Heat-producing equipment used in the space
-Air exchange requirement (if known)

STEP 3
Planning Your Temperature Control Needs.
Your temporary cooling equipment is only as good as the supplier who backs it. As part of your planning, find a rental equipment supplier who has the equipment you need and the staff qualified to solve your problems and service the machines. Before you choose a supplier, visit the operation and examine the rental cooling equipment. While your there, ask a few questions:
-What is the tonnage or kW range of your equipment?
-What are your delivery lead times?
-Can you deliver immediately in an emergency?
-What if I need equipment in the middle of the night or holiday?
-Who will supply hoses, flanges and ductwork for the cooling system?
-Do you offer temporary power and distribution equipment?
-Do you have experience in my specific industry or application?
-Do you have support staff available to answer my questions?

STEP 4
Planning Your Temperature Control Needs.
Before you have a need for temporary cooling, think carefully about the logistics. If you do, you will be able to get your rental equipment on-line in the shortest possible time. Consider:
-How will the equipment get from the dealer to your location?
-Where will you put the temperature control equipment?
-If your application calls for air conditioning, how will you duct the air into your building or other structure?
-If your application calls for fluid cooling rental chiller modules, how will you route and connect temporary piping to your system?
-Where can I get temporary hoses, pumps, valves and flanges for my application?
-What happens if I need temporary power and rental cooling equipment?
